(Theatre organists, synagogue organists, town hall organists, as well as church organists.) We can assist with grants and advice, whether you are a student, a self-employed musician or somebody who has been retired for years. Did you know….
Eric Thompson Trust awards grants towards further studies, hire of instruments, travel and subsistence for auditions and engagements and other expenses incurred in the pursuit of an organist’s career. Preference is given to students seeking assistance towards specific projects rather than continuing academic tuition, such as summer schools, special lessons in addition to normal studies, opportunities to play historic instruments in the context of further study and, in certain instances, travel costs for auditions. Grants are normally limited to a contribution towards such costs. Applications should be in by 30 April.
